Why do we need you for the School Accountability Committee (SAC)?

  • Students are more engaged in their learning, achieve at higher levels, and feel better about themselves when their family members are involved in their education. 
  • Research has shown that collaborative groups make better decisions.
  • Having a collaborative SAC ensures that all families' perspectives, desire, and needs are reflected in policies and school decisions and ensures all parents have a fair and equitable voice in their child's education.

What qualifications are required to participate in a SAC meeting?

  • A desire to engage in the school community and pursue the best for all of our students and school staff

What is the purpose of the SAC?

  • Opportunity to collaborate with school administration and teachers on new ideas for the school
  • Make recommendations to school administration concerning school spending priorities
  • Provide input for the preparation of the school's Unified Improvement Plan
  • Provide opportunities for parent learning and community engagement

The Accountability Committee meets quarterly and consists of school staff members and parent community members. To contribute ideas or express any concerns, please contact the Accountability Committee by calling the school at (303) 982-3820 or sending an e-mail to the Deer Creek Accountability Committee.

The Accountability Committee meetings are held quarterly on a Thursday at 6:00-7:00 PM in the Library. The meeting dates for 2023-24 school year are: September 28, November 16, February 22, and April 18.
